Entering 2016, GCFF has focused more on the innovation and technology sector, especially on life sciences and high-tech investments. With the rise of the Greater Bay Area and Shanghai, GCFF’s focus shifted to cutting-edge areas such as artificial intelligence, clean energy, and biotechnology. By deeply matching leading industry experts with investors, GCFF has successfully led the investment trend in related fields and helped Chinese and foreign companies seize the latest market opportunities. In 2019, GCFF celebrated its 20th anniversary, and the Vancouver and Toronto conventions held celebratory events to continue its important role in promoting the co-operation between Chinese and Western capital markets. During this period, a portion of sales proceeds were donated to the Richmond Hospital Foundation as part of giving back to the local community. In addition, GCFF celebrated the event’s twentieth anniversary on 1 November 2019 with a market opening ceremony on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). A number of keynote speakers, representatives of exhibitors and members of the business community who have supported the event over the years attended this grand celebration.
